This variety is excellent for eating raw as an addition to any salad. These spicy, fresh radishes are rose and white colored and have a deep rose color on the inside. This unique fall-winter Daikon type radish is very hardy. The root resembles a carrot and can reach up to eight inches long with white, firm and crisp flesh that has a peppery spicy flavor.
When and Where to Plant: Sow seed in early spring as soon as ground can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with a vegetable food and organic matter. Make successive plantings every 2 weeks, except during hot weather. Sow seed sparingly, firming soil over row.
Care: Keep soil moist and free of weeds. Protect from insects.
Harvesting: Pull when young and tender.
