Known for its blood-red, deep purple color and sweet taste, the bull's blood beet is sweet tasting and is best when harvested early around 3 inches in diameter. The young leaves make delicious greens. Beets are very easy-to-grow and prefer cool weather, though they tolerate a wide range of conditions. Pick Early for Microgreens!
